Tony Bruno's success in radio isn't one of those reality show contestant, overnight sensation, or flavors of the month, yet, he's still fresh and relevant more than 35 years after embarking on his dream career in broadcasting.

You name it and Tony has probably done it. His local radio pedigree in Philadelphia blossomed at legendary WFIL Famous 56 at age 18 and has taken him to award winning reporter, anchor and talk host at the highest level of the industry.

After learning the ropes from the best news reporters and broadcasters of that exploding era of radio in the early 70's, Tony went from newscaster, to street reporter to sports reporter and later sports talk host as he was ready to absorb and change in an industry pushing limited performers out the door every day.

Local award winning sports coverage of the Philly teams in the 70's caught the ears of New York execs and landed him his first network job in 1980 anchoring  weekend updates for RKO Radio Networks in the Big Apple. Whether it was Olympic games from around the world to every major sporting event in America, Tony was there, getting better and absorbing good knowledge.

When ESPN decided to launch a national radio network, Bruno was the first voice they used in 1992 to anchor what - to this day - is still considered the finest lineup of weekend talent ever assembled.

8 years later, Bruno moved on to pursue life outside the east coast and launched Fox Sports Radio in 2000 from LA. The west coast has been receptive to Tony's blend of style, humor and substance. The Los Angeles Times called him "“possibly the best sports talk show host in America”. He was a regular on the Best Damn Sports Show Period on Fox Sports TV, appeared on many local and national programs, and was picked one of the 101 best things in LA by Los Angeles Magazine in the 2004 :Best Of LA edition.

His strong on-air personality and solid broadcasting skills led him to be chosen by EA Sports to be a part of the most successful video game franchise ever, hosting a radio show inside Madden NFL 2005, 06, and 07.  A classic broadcaster where on air presence and great sound was the first craft to hone, the evolution of his career continues today as sports fans demand more than stats to keep them interested with so many vehicles for modern day information.

As he enters his 5th decade of broadcasting, Tony Bruno's youthful energy, desire to keep learning, and passion in everything he does, remain stronger than ever. Couple that with his personable and approachable style, infectious laughter and overall love of life, and there is no wonder why that translates to a very loyal following of listeners, affiliates and sponsors who laugh, live, and learn right along with him on the radio every day.

Tony Bruno is beyond just another sports talk show host. His diversity, pop culture knowledge, love of wine and fine dining, world travel, varied musical tastes and being very handy around the house keep him very active, healthy and strong. After a long marriage with 3 grown and wonderful children-turned-adults, Tony is now focusing on being married to his loving, caring and supportive  radio show audience and having some close, loyal friends to balance out a great career and life.
